{"id":445,"date":"2024-01-05T22:49:07","date_gmt":"2024-01-05T22:49:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cooleysekula.net\/cooking\/?p=445"},"modified":"2025-11-02T14:04:55","modified_gmt":"2025-11-02T14:04:55","slug":"rye-chocolate-chip-cookies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cooleysekula.net\/cooking\/index.php\/2024\/01\/05\/rye-chocolate-chip-cookies\/","title":{"rendered":"Rye Chocolate Chip Cookies"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Ingredients:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1 cup (130 g) whole wheat flour<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 cup (140 g) rye flour<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\/4 tsp salt<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\/2 tsp baking soda<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\/2 cup walnut (or canola) oil<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 1\/4 cup (268 g) sugar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 large eggs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 tbsp molasses<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 tbsp vanilla extract<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3\/4  cup chocolate chips<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\/2 cup nuts (walnuts or pecans<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Instructions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Preheat oven to 350 degrees.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In a medium bowl whisk flours, salt, and baking soda.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In a large bowl, whisk the oil, sugar, eggs, molasses, and vanilla.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add the flour mixture to the egg mixture and stir until combined.  Add chocolate chips and nuts.  Combine.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use a scoop or spoon to drop mounds of dough onto sheet.
