{"id":308,"date":"2009-03-14T17:34:00","date_gmt":"2009-03-14T17:34:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cooleysekula.net\/cooking\/?p=308"},"modified":"2020-12-24T17:35:29","modified_gmt":"2020-12-24T17:35:29","slug":"mongolian-hot-pot","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cooleysekula.net\/cooking\/index.php\/2009\/03\/14\/mongolian-hot-pot\/","title":{"rendered":"Mongolian Hot Pot"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><br>2.5 tbsp grated ginger<br>2 tbsp soy sauce<br>1\/4 tsp crushed red pepper<br>8 oz flank steak, thinly sliced<br>2 garlic cloves, minced<br>1 tsp olive oil<br>7 cups thinly sliced bok choy<br>1 cup thinly sliced shiitake mushrooms<br>1 cup carrots, sliced<br>1\/2 cup thinly sliced green onions<br>2 cups hot water<br>2 tbsp hoisin sauce<br>28 oz beef broth<br>4 oz soba noodles<br>1 tbsp rice vineager<br>1.5 tsp dark sesame oil, divided<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Directions:<\/strong><br>Combine the first 5 ingredients in a large zip-top bag,<br>and seal. Marinate in the frig for 2.5 hours, turning<br>bag occassionally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Heat olive oil in a small Dutch oven over high heat. Add<br>beef mixture to pan, stir-fry 1 minute or until browned.<br>Remove beef mixture from pan; set aside;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Add bok choy, mushrooms, carrot and green onions to pan;<br>stir-fry 2 minutes or until bok choy wilts. Add water,<br>hoisin, and broth, bring to a boil. Stir in noodles.<br>Reduce heat; simmer 5 minutes or until noodles are done.<br>Stir in beef and vinegar. Drizzle with sesame oil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Nutritional Information:<\/strong><br>Yield: 6 servings.
