Ingredients:
- 1 cup (130 g) whole wheat flour
- 1 cup (140 g) rye flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 cup walnut (or canola) oil
- 1 1/4 cup (268 g) sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tbsp molasses
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup nuts (walnuts or pecans
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- In a medium bowl whisk flours, salt, and baking soda.
- In a large bowl, whisk the sugar, eggs, molasses, and vanilla.
- Add the flour mixture to the egg mixture and stir until combined. Add chocolate chips and nuts. Combine.
- Use a scoop or spoon to drop mounds of dough onto sheet. Bake for 8 to 12 minutes, Cool on sheet for 5 minutes and then transfer to wire rack to cool.
